My name is Stephen C. Callender.\u00a0 I am a Medical Technologist and received my BS in Medical Technology from C. W. Post\u00a0College (branch of Long Island University) and did my hospital internship at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.\u00a0 I am a certified MT(ASCP) #875339 by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. I have worked at the New York Blood Center, and then I later worked at Neometrics (later bought by Natus Corp), a computer company producing custom Newborn Screening for Newborn Screening at State Health Departments across the United States.\u00a0 I worked as a customer support expert resolving their many diverse problems remotely connecting to their personal workstations or by their network servers.\u00a0 I currently work in the laboratory at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. My hobbies are Chinese Calligraphy and Computers. \u00a0 My best friend (Thomas Lee) gave me the Chinese name\u00a0\u53f2\u63d0\u82ac when I was 13 yrs. old.\u00a0 The Chinese culture intrigued me from the first day I met him. I later studied on my own and practiced writing Chinese characters. \u00a0\u00a0 I studied Chinese Calligraphy for 23 years under the late Dr. George Young (\u694a \u88d5\u82ac <\/a>\u6559\u6388) <\/a><\/strong>learning the four major styles.\u00a0 Above is a picture of Prof. Young and myself with the Four styles of Calligraphy in the background.<\/p>\n
